 Your vote is your voice as an American citizen. It is your opportunity to be heard, to hold elected officials accountable for their decisions and to have a say in important issues that affect your community and the nation. On Election Day, every vote matters. Exercise your voice and register to vote and remember to cast your vote this year!

Many students often are not registered to vote, or their information is not up to date – don’t let that be you!  Your voice matters!

How do I register to vote?

What is needed in order to register to vote?
To register online you will need:

  • Your California driver license or California identification card number,
  • The last four digits of your social security number and
  • Your date of birth.

Your information will be provided to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to retrieve a copy of your DMV signature.

If you do not have a California driver license or California identification card, you can still  apply to register to vote by completing the online interview by 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the 15th calendar day before an election.

When is the last day I can register to vote?

An eligible citizen may register to vote at any time, however no person is eligible to vote unless they are registered on or before 15 days prior to the election.
