Spanish 102

Grading:

Examinations: There will be exams following each chapter.

Each exam is worth 6O to lOO points four exams. Each exam is worth 15% of the course grade. Exam dates will be announced in class at least one week before the exam. (Two d= for summer classes) Oral and written reports, quizzes and class assignments are worth 20 to 50 points each. Homework assignments: Workbook will be checked frequently for credit. All workbook assignments must be completed by the end of the course.

In-class quizzes: Announced and unannounced quizzes will be given on an irregular basis.

All exams, class work and homework must be completed in order to complete this course, regardless of lateness.

Unexcused late course work will lose 101/. of Rs points for each weekday that R is late. Late assignments can be turned in at my mailbox in Santa Barbara.

Arrangements for 'excused lateness" or 'excused absence" (emergencies) must be made, if possible, in advance and approved by the instructor.

Course grades will be assigned as follows:

Total points acquired at the end of the semester represent 75% of your grade Final Exam represents 15%

Attendance represents 10% Total: 1 00%

A: 89.6%-100% B: 79.6%-89.5% C: 69.6%-79.5% D: 59.61/.-69.5% F: below 60%

Academic dishonesty will result in a course grade of F.
