Grading Procedure
- Examinations: There will be exams following each chapter
and/or unit. . Each exam is worth 60 to 100 points. Exam
dates will be announced in class at least one week before
the exam.
- There will be four to five compositions. Each composition
is worth 100 points. Oral and written reports, quizzes
and class assignments are worth 20 to 50 points each
- Homework assignments: Workbook and other assignments will
be checked frequently. All workbook assignments must be
completed by the end of the course. In-class quizzes:
Announced and unannounced quizzes will be given on an
irregular basis.
- All exams, class work and homework must be completed in
order to complete this course, regardless of lateness.
- Unexcused late course work will lose 10% of its points
for each weekday that it is late.
- Late assignments can be turned in at my mailbox in Santa
Barbara.
- Arrangements for "excused lateness" or
"excused absence" (emergencies) must be made,
if possible, in advance and approved by the instructor.
- Course grades will be assigned as follows:
