Cerritos College is pleased to announce a new and exciting incumbent workforce training program for employees who are engaged in alternative fuels to support the Alternative and
Renewable Fuels and Vehicle Technology Program (ARFVTP) that was created in 2007 under
Assembly Bill 118.
Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training). Drive your passion and make it
a career with the ASSET program. ASSET is the only program with a paid internship,
allowing you to earn while you learn. Students alternate for six to eight weeks in
the classroom and six to eight weeks with their sponsoring Ford or Lincoln dealer
over a two year period. At the end of the two years, they earn an Associate’s Degree
and valuable in dealer experience.
General Motors ASEP (Automotive Service Educational Program) delivers advanced automotive service training, appropriate academic coursework, and real world internship experiences to give students the best possible preparation for a career as an automotive technician.
Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association (GLANCDA) provides valuable educational and philanthropic benefits to the Los Angeles
Community. They are factory-franchised dealers who are committed to serving the communities
of Greater Los Angeles County by promoting professionalism within the retail automotive

Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association (MEMA) works to improve the quality of service in the public sector by providing
a forum for the free exchange of experience, technical knowledge, ideas and opinions
that enhance the delivery of public services and promote the personal and professional
growth of our members. MEMA serves public safety by helping to ensure that environmentally
responsible, safe and efficient stationary and mobile systems are at work.
The core purpose of Northwood University is to develop leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs with the skills and character
to drive personal, organizational and societal success. Students can earn a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree in one of the following areas: Automotive Marketing/Management
or Management.

The Southern California Regional Transit Training Consortium (SCRTTC) is a leading provider of training for the public transit industry. Our focus
is to provide a training resource network comprised of Community Colleges, Universities,
Transit Agencies, Public and Private Organizations focused on the development and
delivery of training and employment of the transit industry workforce that is proficient
at the highest standards, practices, and procedures for the industry.
The Southland Motor Car Dealers Association (SMCDA) was established in 1932 and represents the majority of new car and truck
dealerships in Southern Los Angeles County. The goal of the Southland Motor Car Dealers
Association is to provide programs and services, and be responsive to the needs of
its members. It seeks to speak and act on behalf of those members in communication
with organizations and individuals who share its automotive interests. Membership
is extended to all persons, firms, or corporations holding a direct factory franchise
and actively engaged in the business of buying and selling new automobiles and trucks
at a regular place of business in Southern Los Angeles County.

specialty-equipment industry. They are also the authoritative source for research,
data, trends and market growth information for the automotive specialty-equipment
industry.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Senate Bill (SB) 1608 on September 29, 2008,
requiring all California architects to complete mandatory continuing education courses
on disabled access requirements as a condition of license renewal. Stepping Thru Accessibility provides mandatory continuing education on disabled access requirements for California
architects.
