National Auto Body Council PRIDE Award Recipients:
The Cerritos College Auto Collision Repair Program students were
recipients of the prestigious PRIDE award at the NACE (International
Autobody Congress and Exposition) held in November 2005 in Las Vegas.

Eurocar
Collision Repair Training began in
the Cerritos College Auto Collision Repair Program on August 16th 2004.
The unique processes used to repair European Vehicles involved in
collisions have been embedded in the training program sponsored by
dozens of Southern California collision repair shops. Students are
also offered paid internships to work side-by-side with experienced
technicians in between their scheduled classes. Click on the link above

Key sponsor in the Eurocar Technician Training Program is
Eurocar Bench Systems Inc.

training, and in providing the financial support to repaint the Auto
Collision Repair Facility in the Spring 2005 semester.

Rome Technologies On-campus training of this leading shop management software
starts again each spring semester held weekly evenings from 6 to 10 pm.

Rome CompleteShop is a leading
developer and producer of the collision repair shop management software
named CompleteShop.
Rome has partnered with Cerritos College Auto Collision Repair Program to provide their software and
support for our program and began training in the Fall
Semester of 2002. Rome conducts a
ONE DAY training seminar each year in the Teleconference Center in the Learning Resource
Center (LRC) on campus. Download and print event

are held on campus at Cerritos College. Check it out.
Integrated Collision Management (ICM) is a developer and producer of collision repair shop management
software. ICM has partnered with Cerritos College to provide
their software (AutoMate) and support for our Collision Repair Program
began training in the Fall Semester of 2002.
If
you are not familiar with "AutoMate" or the latest update of their
software package, consider enrolling in AB
285 Collision Repair Management check "Course Offerings" for the

Chief
Automotive Systems Training
is currently underway at Cerritos
College in a Regional Training Collaborative. The first Computer
Measuring Training class finished in May 2002. Fall 2002 classes
were held on Saturdays, 4 weeks in a row. AB 59B Unibody Analysis and Repair
Planning, followed 4-weeks later by AB 59C Full-Frame Analysis and
Repair Planning, followed by AB 59A Computerized Measuring Training. Check it out...

The
first Chief Automotive Systems course offered was AB
59A Computerized Measuring Training in the 2nd 9 week session of the
Spring 2002 semester and just finished it's most recent offering in Fall
2005. This class met on Thursday
evenings from 6-10pm for nine evenings. Training includes use
of the computerized measuring software and laser-measuring equipment on

Chief
Automotive Systems Inc. and Cerritos College held an Open House
(click to open) in
the Auto Collision Repair Program area December 5, 2001 from 5 to 7 PM
in AT 60. Check out the photos

Field
Trip to Mazda Research and Development - Irvine:
AB 52/58
(Robertson) and AB 62/68 (Asperen) that met on T+Th from 1-5pm visited the Mazda R&D center in Irvine
on Tuesday. Both classes car-pooled and met directly at the site at 3:30 sharp.
This was a rare and excellent opportunity for students and faculty from
over 3 separate departments to see how cars go from initial artist's
