working in the lab in Auto Collision Repair. Additional photos are displayed
from student field trips to SEMA and NACE in 2004 (Both SEMA and NACE are
International Associations that host annual Trade Shows and events in Las

Students performing industry welding qualification testing for I-CAR WQT
Certification in Summer 2001. I-CAR has supported the Cerritos
College ACR program with 16 new Lincoln SP 125 MIG welders to perform
all of the tests monthly. All of the welders remain in the ACR
program area for student use and skills development during the
week.
After this student completed his certification test, he promptly began
welding the front of his family-owned VW bus front end panel. He
used the same welding techniques and welders that he just completed his
certification test with. He also used the Hirane
Pressure-Resistance Spot Welder to finish off the long
seams.
Students practicing door skin replacement in one of the advanced
collision repair labs. Women do very well with the re-shaping of
sheet metal panels. They seem to have the right touch.
