Changes in Campus Registration Policy

All new incoming students will be required to participate in Mandatory Counseling, Orientation, and Assessment (C.O.A.).  The enrollment system on campus is triggered by specific information entered on your Application for Admission.  (online or in print in the schedule of classes).

The specific questions that trigger the Mandatory C.O.A. are as follows:

  • Question #15 (page 2)  Enrollment Status:  If you check option 1, 2, or 3 you will be required to do C.O.A.  If you check 4, 5, or 6, this question does not trigger the requirement.
  • Question #20 (page 3)  What is your immediate educational goal? If you indicate 1 through 4, plus 14 you will be required to do C.O.A. (such as get an AA degree, transfer to 4-year institution, get a 2-year vocational degree, etc.)  If you select 6 through 13 you will not.

Basically if you are a returning college student from any college, even if it's been a while since you have attended, you should not have to complete C.O.A.  If you have never attended any college, you will likely have to participate in C.O.A.

If you have any questions feel free  to contact Mr. Robertson in Auto Collision Repair for clarification, or email him at:  crobertson@cerritos.edu .

Good Luck!

We look forward to seeing you in class.
