Board Advisory Committees

The Board of Trustees may establish committees to assist the Board in its responsibilities. Board committees that are composed solely of less than a quorum of members of the Board of Trustees are advisory and do not have authority that may lawfully be exercised by the Board itself and are not required to comply with the Brown Act or with these policies regarding open meetings, unless they are standing committees.

Board committees have no authority or power to act on behalf of the Board of Trustees.  Findings or recommendations are reported to the Board of Trustees.
