Course Description:

The Occupational Orientation/Preparation course is designed to prepare students to enter a new job position and/or advance in the workplace. The goal of the course is to build a broad range of knowledge in basic job competencies, evaluate personal abilities regarding vocational areas, and to provide job readiness skills to those seeking employment. The course will allow students to acquire skills that will allow them to be competitive in the job market.

In today’s employment market, almost every job requires the ability to work comfortably with the latest software programs. Give yourself the competitive edge by sharpening the skills you have and developing new ones.

We teach job preparation, using and developing your competence in Microsoft Office applications:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint

Students who complete these courses are eligible for certificates from Cerritos College
