Economic Development-Economic Impact in Manufacturing

Economic Impact on California Manufacturing

California is home to more manufacturers than any other state in the union. With over 1.4 million high-paying jobs, California manufacturers are important drivers to the country's innovation, investment, and productivity. Manufacturing is also a huge job multiplier, with estimates that between 2 to 7 non-manufacturing jobs are created for each manufacturing job. The continued success of California's manufacturers remains critical to the health of both our state and national economies.

Cerritos College Economic Development and Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) has a long record of supporting California manufacturing grown and sales by improving productivity and competitiveness. The independent third-party results shown here verify the highly beneficial financial impacts to manufactures, and subsequently, to job growth, retention and the state's economy.
