State Funded Employee Training

Cerritos College Center for Corporate Training (Economic Development Department) provides ETP State Funded Workforce Training for Employers. The ETP training programs offset costs for employers for on-site training with State Funding, which includes practical hands-on training and lab-lecture instruction. Courses are developed to meet employers' training needs and industry standards.

Who is eligible?

Supervisors, technical/engineering staff, administrative and frontline production workers are eligible for funded training.
 

The employees must be:

  • Full-time employees working 35 hours or more per week
  • Earning the ETP minimum wage standard which varies by county and can include employer-paid health care benefits

Where is the training and how is it conducted?

ETP funded training is delivered by highly qualified instructors with industry experience. The training is customized to provide the skills and knowledge to meet your business needs. 
 
All training is provided in a classroom setting or at your work site for groups of up to 20 students.  Training schedules are flexible to accommodate your work schedule.  Classroom training is completed by practical, hands-on projects and activities. 
 

How does my company qualify?

Companies that want to take advantage of this program must be:
  • California employers that pay into the Unemployment Insurance Fund
  • Manufacturers and companies that "face out-of-state competition"
