Summer Pell Grants Put Students Closer to Completion (KPCC 89.9 FM)

Dr. Fierro was interviewed by KPCC last week about the reinstatement of Pell Grant and how the College continues to adjust its programs to meet the needs of our students. The summer Pell Grant was reinstated for the first time in six years to help students earn degrees or graduate faster by taking advantage of summer classes. The Financial Aid Office quickly adjusted to the change and helped more than 800 students receive the summer Pell Grant, allowing students to receive from about $300 to nearly $3,000 in Pell Grant this summer. Fire Station Celebrates Addition of New Mobile Stroke Unit

Cerritos College hosted the City of Norwalk and the L.A. County Fire Department Norwalk Station celebrating the Station's the new mobile stroke unit today. With the addition, the Norwalk Station expands its emergency response and health care resources to the community, and keeps the campus and surrounding community safe.
