Student Leaders Visit State Capitol

Student leaders had the opportunity to attend the annual Community College League of California (CCLC) Legislative Conference from January 29-30 in Sacramento. They toured the State Capitol, met with several elected officials, and participated in advocacy efforts along with Dr. Fierro and board members. Thank you for representing the students of Cerritos College!

Black History Month kick off mixer participants

Black History Month Kicks off with Mixer:

A fun mixer on January 31 kicked off the 2023 Black History Month with music and refreshments. Students, faculty and administrators joined them on stage. This week, bring your best dance moves to our Black History Month silent party featuring Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Reggae, Latin, and more on Wed., Feb. 8, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., in Falcon Square. We’ll see you dressed in all black. Mark your calendars for these other exciting events all month:

Young Falcons Visit the Campus

Students from Los Cerritos Elementary School from the Paramount Unified School District paid a visit to the campus on February 3. Students took a tour of the campus, including the President's Office. Future Falcons got to spend some time with Dr. Fierro and ask questions.

Students Donate Blood and Help Save Lives 

Student Health Services hosted the Red Cross blood drive on January 30 and 31. The campus community gave a total of 34 pints of blood which will save 102 lives. Thanks to these pints of blood that the students and others donated, more than 100 patients will be receiving the gift of life.

The Cerritos College Art Gallery will present Grim Tales: Flashbacks and Fables, a solo exhibition by mixed-media artist Dwora Fried. Exhibition from February 6- March 10.

Students Ride Metro for Free with GoPass
