Congresswoman Michelle Steel Visits the Campus

Congresswoman Michelle Steel (CA-45) visited Cerritos College for the first time on April 11. She took a tour of The Village, Falcon's Nest, and the Veterans Resource Center, and learned about the College's students-first approach and innovative academic and basic needs support programs for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Thank you, Congresswoman, for supporting our students and our continued efforts to lift them up!

College Ranks Fifth Among Nation's Top 50 Community Colleges for Hispanics

Cerritos College is ranked fifth among the top 50 community colleges with the highest Hispanic enrollment in the United States, according to the Hispanic Outlook on Education magazine. CCPR awards

Public Affairs Scores Four 2023 CCPRO Awards

The College's Public Affairs Office was honored with first, second and third place PRO Awards by the Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) on April 13. The PRO Awards celebrate the innovative and outstanding work done during the past year. The team won first place with the You Down with L-C-P promotional video made possible thanks to Damon Cagnolatti, Traci Ukita, Heaven Prado, Justin Simon, Sofi Chun, Emily Gomez, Andrea Dargo, Steven Cobos, and Miya Walker! The College also won second place with the SOAR Above the Crowd fall 2022 enrollment marketing campaign, and third place with the SOAR annual report and the Metro GoPass bus wrap

Blood drive

Students Donate Blood and Help Save Lives 

Student Health Services hosted the Red Cross blood drive on April 19 and 20. The campus community gave a total of 64 pints of blood which will save 177 lives, donating nearly twice more blood than the previous drive in January. Thanks to these pints of blood that the students and others donated, more than 170 patients will be receiving the gift of life.

Earth Day Festival

Free Family Earth Day Celebration Coming to Cerritos College on April 22

To celebrate planet Earth and raise awareness about environmental issues, Cerritos College will host an Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 22. Open to all, the free event will feature carnival games, giveaways, and crafts. The community is welcome to bring family and friends for a fun day and see what Cerritos College has to offer...Link to the full story about Earth Day
