Campus Police Deploy E-Bikes for Carbon Footprint Reduction

Three e-bikes joined the Cerritos College Campus Police Department’s fleet. These e-bikes are not typical e-bikes seen on the road, but are designed specifically to meet the demand of law enforcement use by traveling up to 40mph. The goals of adding e-bikes are to reduce the use of fossil fuels by limiting patrol vehicle use, increase campus police visibility, and provide greater mobility and faster response times throughout campus. Only authorized officers who have completed the tactical police e-bike training course can patrol on e-bikes.

Career Services and the Re-Entry Resource Program hosted the Majors Exploration Fair on September 6. The event connected students with the campus Learning and Career Pathway Success Teams, faculty and staff representing various majors and programs, and information about transfer and future career choices.
