Santa is coming back to Cerritos College on December 2! Everyone is invited to Cerritos College’s second annual Community Meet and Greet, featuring free photos with Santa Claus and Franco Falcon. Friends and families of all ages can participate and enjoy activities, including a ceramics demonstration, Charlie Brown Christmas music performance, arts and crafts, games, and more. Falcon Day: Campus invests in success for students and employees

Human Resources hosted the annual Falcon Day, a one-day professional development opportunity for all faculty, classified/confidential staff, and managers on November 3. Employees bonded while learning and discussing how to best support our students, how to self-care, and how to invest in our careers around this year's concept of Invest in Success. President Fierro moderated the VP panel, where employees asked questions over lunch provided by the culinary arts program. Head to the college's instagram for more pictures.

Campus celebrates Día de Muertos

Puente and ASCC hosted the Día de Muertos celebration on November 2. Altars by various offices were displayed with this year's theme of "Honoring Nuestras Voces (our ancestral voices)." Free face painting was offered by the Puente students. Students unleashed their creativity making their own Calaca, and enjoyed live Aztec dance performances by Xipe Totec danzantes Aztecas.

Honor service men and women with Veterans Week

Cerritos College's Veterans Week festivities kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony today. Marine veteran Esperanza Zanabria served as student speaker and shared her journey as a student veteran at Cerritos College. More Veterans Week activities are coming this week, including a spirit day, resource fair, and the Marine Corps birthday celebration. View the event calendar.

Music Department presents in concert the Gospel Choir

Gospel choir returns to campus on November 15

The music department is proud to present its very own gospel choir for one night only on November 15. Come out and enjoy an evening of singing and worship and good music by the campus vocalists and gospel band. Don’t be surprised if you want to join the choir next semester! Wednesday, November 15, 7-9 p.m. in Student Center.

A Street Car Named Desired

A Streetcar Named Desire coming to the Performing Arts Center

Coming to the Performing Arts Center at Cerritos College, Tennessee William's Iconic play "A Streetcar Named Desire" is about Blanche DuBois, her sister, Stella, and Stella's husband, Stanley. It's a story about what happens when a woman who fancies herself a Southern belle falls from her state in society and has to live with her poorer sister and her husband. Opening Friday, December 1, at 8 p.m. and more performances on December 2, 7, 8, and 9 at 8 p.m. and December 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. Buy tickets
