The second annual Community Meet and Greet rings in holiday cheer

The college's second annual Meet and Greet event was a success! On Saturday, December 2, community members gathered on campus for a photo opportunity with Santa and the campus mascot Franco Falcon, a train ride, a ceramics demonstration, a Charlie Brown Christmas music performance, arts and crafts, games, and refreshments.  Visit the college's Instagram for the event reel. 

High school dual enrollment students glimpse into campus life 

Eighty dual enrollment students from Gahr and La Mirada high schools in the sports medicine pathway visited the campus on December 1. The students were introduced to Cerritos Complete and the athletic training program and took a tour of the kinesiology department facilities (Group Fitness Room, Fitness Lab, Weight Room, Pool, and Teaching Lab). Following the tour, the young Falcons enjoyed pizza and cupcakes. They also participated in a trivia contest and taping contest between Gahr High School and La Mirada High School to test the knowledge and skills they have been learning in the dual enrollment classes.

California CPA Magazine profiles two Cerritos College students

Cerritos College student Brian Givens and former student Lucy Cruz were featured in the California CPA Magazine's December issue. Written by the Cerritos College Accounting Instructor Charles Osaki, the two first-generation college students explain their goal of becoming CPAs and how Osaki's Pathway to Success program helped their educational journey.
