This full day seminar gives participants the
opportunity to spend the day with an aviation legend and
obtain the latest information on composite materials and
construction. This is your opportunity to learn the
tricks of the trade from two composites experts.
The seminar will take you from the story of the
ultimate homebuilt, "The Voyager," to the
construction of your own composite aircraft. Topics of
discussion will include how to set up your workshop, best
tools, background on composite construction, current and
future use of composites, epoxies, resins, curing stages,
filling, finishing, inspection, damage repair and more.
Demonstrations on hot wire cutting and vacuum bagging.
Step-by-step hands-on instruction on construction
procedures including foam preparations and fiberglass
lay-ups.
The seminar will be held at the state of the art
Composite Technology Center on the Cerritos College
campus, 11110 Alondra Blvd. Norwalk, CA. Workshop begins
at 9AM and will last all day. Registration is $75.00 per
person and seating is limited. All materials are
included.
