Cerritos College Hosts Open House for
Plastics/Composites Manufacturing Program
NORWALK, CA - On Thursday, August 13, the Cerritos
College Plastics/Composites Manufacturing Department will
host an "Open House and Product Demonstration"
featuring everything you need to know about the future of
plastics and composites technology and more.
From 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., the College will hold on-going
demonstrations of injection molding, waterjet cutting,
ultrasonic welding and vacuum forming with special
"hands on" workshops scheduled throughout the
day. Wrapping up the evening will be an introduction to
cinematic special effects with "Special Effects
Model Making: Godzilla Behind the Scenes" presented
by Gene Rizzardi of Modelwerkes.
The program includes something for everyone with
table-top exhibits, networking opportunities, scholarship
and internship information, and a consortium of industry
experts to answer questions.
