Degree and Transfer

College Requirements

Beginning Spring 2012, eligible first-time students who have never attended any college will be required to complete assessment and orientation-counseling prior to enrollment. The orientation includes general information, enrollment procedures and a meeting with a counselor to plan your classes. The assessment tests in English and Math, or the ESL test should be completed prior to your orientation.


Certificate and Degrees

Upon successful completion of either program, students can petition for a certificate of completion. Students may also qualify for an A.A. Degree upon successful completion of additional coursework to complete the Cerritos College graduation requirements and achieve the minimum of 60 units. Please refer to the schedule of classes and/or the college catalog for complete detailed information.

*Students can complete either program for a certificate of completion in 4-5 semesters, which is a two and a half years or more, depending on the pace, and class availability.


Cerritos College Culinary Arts Transfer Articulations with Universities

Cerritos College Culinary Arts has articulations with local universities with reputable hospitality programs. We have worked with California State University Long Beach and California Polytechnic State University, Pomona to approve culinary arts units taken at Cerritos College.
