Presentation features a discussion on ways to access healthcare services, specifically how disadvantaged students and community members can become their own advocates. The Jack Kent Cooke scholarship is a $40,000 scholarship for students ready to transfer who have an excellent GPA (3.5+) and significant financial need. Active Minds' Send Silence Packing Exhibit Raises Awareness About Suicide Prevention: Everyone is invited to walk among the backpacks to see the photographs and read the stories attached to the backpacks, many of which were donated by families who lost a student to suicide. Active Minds staff, Student Health & Wellness Center representatives, DSPS counselors and staff, and student representatives will be on hand to provide information and resources.
