GEOLOGY 201
HISTORICAL GEOLOGY
This is a 4 unit class that includes both lecture and lab. It provides transfer credits to both the UC and CS systems. This class is also listed in the Teacher TRACT program for science.
The course concerns the origin and geological history of the earth and the evolution of its plant and animal inhabitants. Laboratory work includes exercises in the study of the principal fossil life of geologic time and exercises in the interpretation of earth history.
There are two recommendations for taking this class: 1) satisfactory completion of the English Placement Process or ENGL 52 or equivalent with a grade of "Credit" or "C" or higher; and 2) satisfactory completion of the Math Placement Process or MATH 40 or equivalent with a grade of "Credit" or "C" or higher.
