WIND LANDFORM ANSWER SHEET

The arrows on the diagram above are pointing to some sand dunes. First determine which side is the steep side. Then determine what type of dune it is.
Note that the contour lines are closer together on the east side (the right side). This determines the direction of wind which is blowing from left to right. The shape of the dune has its horns pointed in the direction the wind is blowing. This is a barchan dune.
