The materials on your exam are fairly evenly distributed between Chapters 7, 8 and 9.  The focus of the exam is common merchandising transactions and how they would be recorded in both the special journals and general journal, as well as the management of cash and the bank reconciliation process.

 

The exam is comprised of the following:

 

30 multiple choice questions worth 2 points each                      60 points

 

There are 7 problems from which you will CHOOSE FOUR.

Each one is worth 10 points each.  Only do FOUR.  If you

do more than that, then only the first four will be graded.          40 points

·        Identification of Accounts:  Balances and Financial Statement

·        Bank Reconciliation

·        Identification of transactions in special journals

·        Recording of sales related transactions in a general journal

·        Recording transactions in a Sales Journal (and general journal)

·        Recording of purchase related transactions in a general journal

·        Recording of cash transactions in a cash receipts journal
