HOW TO BUY AN ACCESS CODE

This is only necessary if you did NOT purchase a book at Cerritos College.  If you purchased a used book, or if you purchased a book that did not come bundled with the access codes for homework manager, then you will need to purchase one online.

·        Go to:  http://www.mhhe.com/price11e

·        Click on “Register or Purchase Access”

·        Click on “I do not have a registration code”

·        Choose the “McGraw-Hill’s Homework Manager for College Acounting” by clicking the “Continue” button underneath the $15.00 price.

·        Follow on-screen intructions.

 

HOW TO REGISTER AS A STUDENT ON HOMEWORK MANAGER

This is REQUIRED for all students.

·        Go to http://mh.brownstone.net/classes/dschmidt

·        Click on “Register as a Student”

·        Enter Registration code

·        Complete the required information. The password and login is case-sensitive.

·        Remember to write down your login and password and keep in a safe place.

·        Click OK when complete

 

HOW TO ACCESS HOMEWORK MANAGER TO COMPLETE HOMEWORK

Homework assignments are listed in the “Homework and Online Quiz Assignments” above. These assignments must be completed using Homework Manager. Demonstrations on using  Homework Manager will be done during the first week of class. To access Homework Manager:

·        The URL is http://mh.brownstone.net/classes/dschmidt

·        Select an Assignment Name

·        Enter your Login and Password (password and login is case-sensitive)

·        Choose either “Print assignment for off-line work” or “Work assignment on-line right now.”  (Note:  If you print the assignment for off-line work, you will still need to enter your answers to the problems online.)

·        When working on-line, each problem/exercise will be given one a time

·        Fill in the answer in the box provided.

·        At the top of the page, click “Next” to go to the next problem.

·        When all problems/exercises are completed, click “Grade.”  (Note:  Incomplete assignments can be saved and worked on later by clicking “Save my work” or “Quit and save.”)

·        Each assignment has unlimited attempts and only the best score is recorded.

 

HOW TO TAKE THE ONLINE QUIZZES

The URL is http://mh.brownstone.net/classes/dschmidt

•  Select an Assignment Name
•  Enter your Login and Password (password and login is case-sensitive)
•  All quizzes have a 45 minute limit and only one attempt.
•  Each question will be given one at a time.
•  Select the correct answer .
•  Click on “Save my work”
•  Click “Next” to go to the next question.
•  When all questions have been answered, click “Grade.”
•  Click “Quit and Save” to save the grade and exit the quiz session
