Info for Continuing Students
Following are IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS from DSPS:
- Summer 2018 Priority Enrollment
Summer Priority Enrollment takes place April 9th, 10th, and 11th. Please check your MyCerritos account to identify your appointment date and time to enroll online. Students who wish to receive assistance with the enrollment process may come to DSPS on or after their appointment date and time for assistance.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to check MyCerritos for any holds on your record. Due to recent legislation, Cerritos College is required to use new criteria to determine who is eligible to receive priority enrollment. If you have a "PRB" or "100+" hold on your record, you will not be able to use your priority enrollment appointment. Students with these holds may submit an appeal to restore their Priority Enrollment privileges by making an appointment with their specialist.
- Schedule of Classes
If you wish to view the Summer 2018 Schedule of Classes you may do so online via Schedule Plus. For further information or to find out the walk-in times for DSPS counselors, you may call us at (562) 860-2451 ext. 2335 or come to the Liberal Arts/DSPS (LA) Building.
- Summer 2018 Services
Students who wish to request accommodations such as notetaking, test-taking, interpreters, or materials in another format must make an appointment to see their specialist. Students who are requesting the same services they were approved for in the past may instead submit a Request for Services form to the DSPS front desk.
- Elevator Access Students who have classes in the Social Science Building and require use of an elevator
to access the second or third floor should contact Campus Police using the red phone
near the elevator or calling the non-emergency number: (562) 924-3618.
- Financial Aid
Did you know that the application filing period for Financial Aid for 2017-2018 began October 1st? Be sure to file as soon as possible and follow up on your "To Do" items in MyCerritos if you want to apply for Financial Aid for the 2017-2018 academic year.
DSPS LATE POLICY: To better meet the needs of all DSPS students, please be aware that students who arrive 10 or more minutes after their scheduled appointment time will be rescheduled. We recommend arriving ten minutes prior to your appointment time in case there is a line when you check in.
