Earth Science
& Geography Scholarships
- Delvers Gem and Mineral Society Scholarship. Each academic year the Earth Science
Department is able to award one $500 scholarship to a declared geology major (major code
number 630) who has successfully completed physical geology (Geology 101). The scholarship fund is
generously supported by the Delvers Gem and Mineral Society, and was
substantially supplemented
by a donation from Connie Anderson, one of our graduates and former
recipient of the
award.

Joan Licari Scholarship.
Each academic year the Earth Science Department is able to offer one $500 scholarship to
one student majoring in geography (major code number 730) who has completed
at least one geography course at Cerritos College, and who exhibits
outstanding potential in the field. This scholarship is named in honor of
Professor Joan Licari who taught at Cerritos College for more than 30 years.
