Assignment 3 - Generative Photography Please hand in this sheet with your work in a protective envelope. Assignment Description: Devise a chance procedure intended to generate a body of photographs, and put that system in motion. Hand in a minimum of three photographs. Use whatever photographic process is most suitable to the idea. Related Reading Assignment: The Question of Originality from Nine Gates: Entering the Mind of Poetry by Jane Hirschfield. Assignment Objective: We will endeavor to examine the role the ego plays in making artworks, and try to short-circuit self-centerdness through the use of chance procedures or other conceptual strategies designed to create "a class of goals." Suggestions: Experiment with a variety of procedures until you find one you trust. Don't fear originality even if it puts you on uncertain ground. In other words, challenge convention.
