THRESHOLD SPACES (a selection)

THRESHOLD SPACES is a series of photographs made from vantage points neither exclusively inside nor outside, but rather between – any area partly open and partly closed. I have ventured to discover and photograph vernacular places of passing and pausing. Why? I suppose because it keeps me guessing what art is for, and helps me half-surrender my mundane conceptions and sense of an inherent identity into the affectionate voidness of the moment.

THRESHOLD SPACES aspires to trespass the boundaries of the liminal, and enter into the middle path which confronts the crisis of reification with a celebration of passage.
