1. What have you learned this semester
about yourself as a student and a writer? What will your next step be as
you continue developing your student and writing skills? Do you feel
prepared to make that next step?2.
You were asked to purchase one text book
this semester: The Writing Process by John Lannon. How did you feel about
the text book? Did you enjoy it? Learn something from it? Find it useful? Please be specific about what you did or did not like about
the book. If you did not buy book, or if
you did not read the book, please let me know this as
well. If you didn’t buy or read it—why didn’t you?
3. You did three
research based essays (NCLB, Mendez v. Westminster, and McCain v. Obama) Which essay did you find the most helpful to you as you worked on
developing your writing and student skills? Why? Which essay did you
find least useful? Why? (Don’t confuse useful with difficult. Those are
two different things.)
4. Did you use the class web site? Did you
investigate the class resources? Why / Why not? Is there something that
you did not find on the web site that you would like to see me develop
for future classes?
5. Overall, what did you like best about
the class?
6. If there was one thing you could change
about the class, what would it be? (Don’t just say “less work”—that
probably isn’t going to happen)
7. Is there anything else you would like to
say? I would love to hear your comments!
It
has been a pleasure working with each of you this summer. I hope that
you will not be strangers. I would love to hear how you are doing in the
future. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
