A bit about me:
As you have already figured out by this point, my name is Francie Quaas-Berryman. The Quaas part of my name is what I was born with, and the Berryman part of my name came when I got married.

Jim and I met in a scuba diving club. We used to scuba dive every weekend, but now that we have two children, we are not able to get out diving as much as we used to. Although we don't do so much diving anymore, we do love trips to Disneyland and musical theater events. |
| Our first child, Bonnie Cathleen,
is five. She loves to dance and swim, and she has been involved in the
children's theatre group in our community Our second child, Teresa Nicole (Nikki) is three. She also loves to swim and dance, and she can't wait until she is old enough to be in the community theatre. |

In addition to Scuba diving, I also enjoy roller skating. My calmer hobbies involve working on my photo albums, creative writing, reading, archery, stained glass, and working on my genealogy.
I am a native Californian, born in Lynwood, California, on July 29, 1962. I grew up in Riverside, California and lived there until I graduated from Ramona High School. I then moved to Orange County where I started school at Chapman College (it's Chapman University now, but back then it was just college). I was only there for three semesters. I had a difficult time trying to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I spent time working, then went back to school at Santa Ana College. It took me ten years and a lot of stopping and starting, but I eventually finished my B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). I spent a couple more years working, then back to CSUF for my Master's in English. I spent three more years working at various colleges, including Santa Ana, Santiago Canyon, Citrus, Fullerton, and CSUF, until I was hired by Cerritos College in 1999. Now I am hard at work on a doctorate degree in Education (Ed.D) at U.C.L.A. and I hope to finish in 2010
| Here is my College Graduation picture. I was pretty excited about getting that M.A. degree |
