Group Presentation
"Grammar." The word itself often conjures up images of vicious English teachers with red pens hacking away at your written labors of love. Yet, once you learn some basic grammar rules, it isn't difficult to follow the conventions of Standard English and develop papers without lots of grammar corrections. |

This group project will give you the opportunity to learn more about one particular aspect of grammar that you will present to and teach your classmates about. You have each been assigned to a group. Your group will develop a 15-20 minute presentation on an assigned grammar topic. Each group can choose the method of presentation, but the goal is to be sure that the class understands the material presented. You can use a variety of presentation methods. The only limitation will be your own imaginations. You must include a handout for each member of the class, and you must have some type of visual aid to help the class understand the material you will be presenting. You will be graded on the clarity of your presentation. This means no mumbling when you are standing in front of the class. You will also be graded on your creativity. The presentation will need to be 15-20 minutes The presentation must last at least 15 minutes in order to receive a passing grade, and you need to fill the 15 minutes with substance, not figuring out who goes next. I will also cut you off after 20 minutes, so plan your time carefully. I expect the presentations to be smooth and professionally presented. On your class resources page (there is a link at the top and bottom of this page) you will find a link entitled "Writer's Resources." That page will provide you with information that will assist your group in developing the presentation. This list is only a beginning. Please feel free to search out additional resources to help your develop your presentation. If you find a great web resource that I have not listed, please let me know, and I will add it to this web page.
