Elements: Read carefully when you listen to the music examples from your book so that you know something about how the particular example relates to what Forney writes regarding the elements of music.
For the historical sections of this course, start by memorizing: composer's names (if known), the title of each piece, where in Europe it was written, and its approximate date.
