Hiring Standards Procedures: this document explains the committee's procedures for conducting business, including evaluating equivalency requests and approving or modifying local standards.

Equivalency Request Form: an equivalency form must be completed for all applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications and require equivalency. To request the form, please contact Edith Finney, Human Resources Technician I, at efinney@cerritos.edu

Minimum Qualifications - Disciplines List Review
Every two years the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges conducts a review of the Disciplines List, which establishes the minimum qualifications for the faculty of California community colleges. Details outlining the proposal process, time line, review, and adoption can be found at the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges site.

No Single Course Equivalencies
The Chancellor's Office has determined that community college districts are not authorized to establish a single course equivalency as a substitute for meeting minimum qualifications in a discipline.
