Last day to drop with a "W" is 4/23

The above schedule is subject to change.

NOTE:  The student who wants to work at home, will need access to Microsoft Office 2007 to do the assignments for this course.  The Office suit needs to include Word 2007, Excel 2007,  PowerPoint 2007 & Access 2007.  If you do not have the software on your computer you may do the hands-on work on the campus computers. The campus labs have Office 2007 loaded.  Cerritos College does not supply students computer software for student home computers.

The lab assignments and links to lecture and supporting materials are found on the class web pages available through TalonNet.  There are two sites for this section.  Log into TalonNet and your class then you will see links to the two class website on the left menu.   One at Cerritos College (http://www.cerritos.edu/hohly/CIS101/C101Sp2010_M.htm) and the other at the TalonNet site.   Please refer to these pages for more information.  Make sure that you print out the separate sheets that contains the lab assignments.

Revisions to schedule will be made to the syllabus and posted on the web sites for this class. Lab, lectures, and supporting materials for this class are posted on the two sites.  Some things are only available on the TalonNet site.  The TalonNet site has discussion section, exams, location to submit lab files, and other things not found on the Cerritos site.  Instructions to log on to the site will be provided during orientations.  It is the students responsibility to retrieve their assignments from the Web pages. All assignment must be submitted to your instructor via TalonNet, or submitted in class by the due date/time.  They will ONLY  be accepted through TalonNet and on paper in class.  Assignments submitted in class must have the accompanying files uploaded via TalonNet.  The difference between submissions for the traditional and online class will be discussed at the class orientation.  The traditional student will need to submit the printouts and also upload the files via TalonNet.  The online student MUST submit their files via TalnNet and they will have more detailed submissions online.  This will be explained at the orientation and in the online lab instructions.

Remember it is critical to keep in contact with your instructor.  If you have not been heard from  for 3 weeks or are not making academic progress you will be dropped from the class.

Academic Honesty:  The work submitted by each student in this class is expected to their own work, not the work of others.  Please review the college's Academic honesty policy which appears in the schedule of classes.  I will follow the policy and enforce the policy.  In Spring 2010 it appears on pages 122.  Don't put your credit in this course at risk by violating this policy.
