All Sections

Our course offerings in the Operations area include not only the basic operation of an iSeries 400 (AS/400) but also include the use of iSeries Navigator to operate the iSeries 400. The labs will provide you the opportunity to do System management task in both the green screen and GUI mode.   Topics covered in these courses are shown on the syllabi for the sections.   Two iSeries 400's are available to students in both sections.  One on campus and the other off-campus server named Thumper.

Hybrid/Online Section

The students will meet on the first day of class for an orientation.  Other meetings will be announced as needed for the Hybrid students.  The IP address for the  host iSeries 400 (AS/400) for the online sections is 67.116.99.251 and its name is Thumper.  Students will be provided with software to use for terminal emulation and iSeries Navigator to use on their computers.  Instructions on the installation of this software is  available in the iSeries Operations textbook.  This will provide easy access to the off-campus system.
