Lab 5 - Introduction to the Internet
Using WWW Search tools to find Internet Resources

The purpose of this lab is to:
- Use the Search Tools from the previous lab assignments.
- Formulate search criteria to find information available on the World Wide Web.
- Revise your search criteria until you find the desired information.

General Instructions:
- Select five (5) of the following for full credit.
- Read through the following 'Search Questions', then select the questions you want to
explore.
- Before you submit the assignment please delete the questions you did not answer. This
will make grading easier.
- This assignment has extra credit available. You may do two (2) extra question for a
maximum of 6 bonus points (3 pts each).

Search Questions:
- Find a site which has information about entitlement programs. For example: social
security, welfare, etc. Look for sites which discuss reform of these programs.

- Find a magazine or journal publishing site, which includes articles on-line. (Note: a
newspaper site.) The magazine or publishing site may be either a traditional or on-line
only site. Some examples: Ziff-Davis Publishing, Time, Business News, Barons, George,
Vogue, Automobile mag., Better Homes and Gardens, Sports Illustrated, Hispanic On-line
etc.
