Following an error in the Southern
California seeding process, the Southern
California seeding reps, the CCCBCA
President and Vice President, the MC
Baseball Rep, and the COA Director
of Championships have applied the
correct seeding process to determine the
accurate Southern California seeds.
Originally, the
Cerritos College baseball team was
seeded #9 and were to be traveling to
#8-seeded Los Angeles Pierce College
this weekend. But, after the process of
re-seeding, the Falcons (33-11) are now
the #5-seeded team in Southern
California and will host the #-12-seeded
Moorpark Raiders (25-17). Cerritos,
tri-champion of the South Coast
Conference, will face the Raiders,
second place finishers in the Western
State Conference North Division, in a
best two-out-of-three series. The first
game will be played Friday at 3:00 p.m.,
with the second game scheduled for 11:00
a.m. on Saturday. If it goes to a third
game, it will be played 30 minutes after
the conclusion of the first game on
Saturday. Tickets for the game will
be $5 for general admission and $3 for
students from either school w/ID,
seniors and children under 12.
The other adjustments
were to move Riverside College from #4
to #9 and El Camino College from #5 to
#4.
Below are the
adjusted seedings:
