Second baseman/designated hitter Joe Terry (Long Beach Poly HS) has inked with Cal State Fullerton, while pitcher Skye Severns (Claremont HS) has signed with New Mexico State University. Both are expected to play an integral role in the upcoming Falcon season.

Terry had a tremendous freshman season and was selected in the 17th Round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. Terry, who helped the baseball team advance to the Southern California Regional Playoffs, was named 1st Team All-Southern California All-American as a designated hitter. He beat the old record of 13, set by Ron Ewart in 1985. In addition, his RBI total is tied for the third best, while his batting average is tied for the fourth best. His total bases are also the third most in a season in school history. he was also the 20th Falcon to be named the SCC Player of the Year.

As for Severns, he went 5-5 as a freshman with a 7.22 ERA in 67 1/3 innings of work. He started 13 of the games he appeared in and struck out 48 batters. Over the course of the year, he won three straight appearances, which included a season-best seven innings against Los Angeles City College and struck out seven batters.
