| Was a red-shirt last season…
Started all 36 games at shortstop as a freshman…
Batted .234 with 16 RBI and was second on the
team in walks (14) and stolen bases (7)… Saw his
average increase 43 points in the final 11
games, as he batted .343 and finished the year
on a four-game hitting streak… Had two hits in
each of the last three games… Drove in a
season-high three runs in a win over Compton…
Led his high school team to the Del Rio League
championship as a senior after batting .423…
Named 1st Team All-Del Rio League as
a junior and senior… Batted .340 as a junior
after hitting .349 his sophomore season… Earned
2nd Team All-Area as a sophomore
after being named All-Area Honorable Mention his
freshman season… Was the team’s Defensive Player
of the Year as a freshman… Most memorable moment
was when he drove in the game-winning run with a
double to beat El Rancho High and clinch the
league title… Would like to transfer to any
school that will pay for his education… Likes to
go to the river and hang out on the boat in his
spare time… Nicknamed “Putty”… Has one brother –
Kevin (22)… Is the son of Rick and Colleen
Patynik… Born in San Dimas, CA on June 10,
1985….. |
