Atlanta Braves… Was also drafted out of high
school by the San Francisco Giants… Named 1st
Team All-South Coast Conference last season
after batting .280 on the year… Started 35 games
at catcher and was also the team’s closer… Led
the team with six saves and went 1-1 with a 1.98
ERA in 11 appearances… Pitched in 13 2/3 innings
and struck out 11 batters… In a game against El
Camino College, he earned the win on the mound
and also drove in the game-winning run in the 11th
inning… At the plate, he had a team-high 11-game
hitting streak, while he also went 9 1/3 innings
