11 2/3 innings and struck out eight batters…
Went 2 2/3 innings against Sacramento City
College and allowed one unearned run, while
striking out three… Also went two innings
against Cuesta College and struck out two… While
in high school, he played on two varsity Sea
View League championship teams, as well as a
junior varsity championship team and freshman
league championship team… Team advanced to the
CIF 2nd Round Playoffs his senior
year… Named All-League as a senior after batting
.380 with one home run… Hit at a .320 clip his
junior season… Threw a perfect game with 11
strikeouts as a sophomore on the junior varsity
team against Woodbridge High… Most memorable
moment was his perfect game against Woodbridge
High… Would like to transfer to any good
Division I program… His father played baseball
at Parma (OH) High… Likes to go swimming, bike
riding and running in his spare time… Nicknamed
“Scorpion”… Has two siblings – Tom (22) and
Nicole (10)… Is the son of Thomas and Debbie
Gurbach… Born in Torrance, CA on June 21,
