Returning for his second stint with the Falcon coaching staff, Anthony Moreno will work with the catchers and first basemen this year. He was with the Cerritos coaching staff from 2000-01 before moving on to La Mirada High, where he coached from 2002-04. After taking a year off, Moreno spent the 2006-07 seasons as an assistant coach at Mater Dei High.

            His playing career started at La Mirada High, where he helped lead the Matadors to a CIF Championship appearance before playing for the Falcons from 1995-96. In his freshman season, he helped the team reach the state championship game, which is the last time the team has advanced that far in the post-season. Moreno then moved on to Chico State University, where he was a member of their 1997 National Championship team.

            Moreno received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2001 from Cal State Fullerton. He likes to spend his free time with his family, his girlfriend Jennifer and their dog, DogZilla.
