Cerritos (2008): Was the team’s starting second baseman and started all 46 games… Batted .214 on the year with eight doubles and 18 RBI… Was second on the team with 25 walks and stole six bases… Solid defensively, as he committed just eight errors and had a .966 fielding percentage…..

La Mirada HS: Helped his team to the championship game of the CIF Division III Playoffs as a senior… Team won the Suburban League championship all three years he was on the team, running their streak to nine years in a row… Was a two-time 1^st Team all-league selection, while he was named 1^st Team All-CIF and 2^nd Team Press Telegram Dream Team as a senior… Batted .398 with three home runs and 32 RBI with 15 stolen bases as a senior… Hit .350 with three home runs, 20 RBI and 12 stolen bases his junior year and was chosen 2^nd Team All-CIF… Batted .333 with 10 RBI as a sophomore after being named the freshman team’s Most Valuable Player… Also played on the freshman basketball team and helped them to the league title…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he went 3-for-3 with a home run and two doubles against Downey High and when he played in Dodger Stadium for the CIF championship… Would like to transfer to any school that wants him… His father played baseball in high school, while his sister, Allison (16) is on the softball team at La Mirada High… Likes to play sports in his spare time… Nicknamed “Porter”… Has two other siblings – Chris (30) and Ricky (28)… Is the son of Henry and Rosa Pesante… Born in Bellflower, CA on May 21, 1989…..
