Cerritos (2009):
Batted .280 on the season with three home runs
and 17 RBI… Also saw three games on the mound
and started once… Was 0-0 on the year with a
7.56 ERA in 8 1/3 innings of work… Drove in
seven of his runs and hit one of his home runs
in the Southern California Regional Playoffs
against Mt. San Jacinto College… Also pitched 3
1/3 innings of two-hit relief… Ended the season
with a nine-game hitting streak where he batted
.471 (16-for-34) to see his average rise from
.192 to .280… Went 2-for-4 with a double, triple
and four RBI against Los Angeles Harbor College…
Has three-hit games against Los Angeles City
College and Mt. San Jacinto during that
stretch…..
La Mirada HS:
Voted his team’s Offensive Player of the Year as
a senior, while also earning 1st Team
All-Area and 2nd Team All-Suburban
League recognition… Batted .385 on the year his
senior season after hitting at a .495 clip his
junior year… Named his team’s Rookie of the Year
and Offensive Player of the Year, while earning
1st Team all-league honors as a
junior… Team won the league title and advanced
to the CIF Championship game that year…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he went 3-for-4
with a home run and four RBI against John Glenn
High, as well as when he hit a towering home run
over the centerfield fence against Mayfair High…
Was an extra in the movie “Bad Santa”… Likes to
golf in his spare time… Nicknamed “J-Beasty”…
Has two siblings – Justin (18) and Jake (15)… Is
the son of Doug and Kim Bryan… Born in Orange,
CA on October 20, 1989….. |
