The Cerritos College baseball team found
themselves in a quick 7-0 deficit after two
innings against host Golden West College on
Wednesday in a non-conference baseball game. The
Falcons (1-1) were able to score in four
innings, but they were single runs, while the
Rustlers (3-0) continued to hit the Cerritos
pitching hard, and posted a 12-4 win. The
Falcons will continue their four games in four
days when they travel to Chaffey College on
Thursday for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference game.
Sophomore pitcher
Chris Villalobos (El Rancho HS)
was hit hard, as he allowed nine runs in 3 1/3
innings of work before coming out. Sophomore
Tucker
Woods (La Mirada HS) fared
well on the mound, as he worked four scoreless
innings.
At the plate, sophomore shortstop
Max McEleney (Long Beach Wilson
HS) had a pair of hits, including his first
home run of the season, while he drove in two
runs. As a team, the Falcons had just five hits,
while they left 11 runners on base.
