Appeared in the first eight games last
season, but missed the last two with an injury… Finished
with 37 tackles and had five total tackles in six of the
games… Had an interception against Mt. San Antonio
College and recorded tackles for loss against both West
Los Angeles College and Saddleback College… Was a
red-shirt two seasons ago… Has put on 40 pounds since he
arrived on campus… In addition to playing linebacker in
high school, he was also a running back… Recorded 73
tackles and rushed for 424 yards and five touchdowns his
senior year… As a junior, they won the San Gabriel
Valley League championship as he amassed 85 tackles and
rushed for 727 yards and eight scores… Was named 1st
Team All-League that year, as the team advanced to the
CIF Playoffs… Ran for 1,111 yards and 11 touchdowns on
the junior varsity team his sophomore year… Most
memorable moment was when he rushed for 203 yards and a
65-yard touchdown run on offense and added 12 tackles on
defense as a sophomore against Paramount High… Likes to
play sports in his spare time… Is the son of Charles and
Charis Higgins… Has five siblings – Charles (22),
Jonathan (21), Charis (19), Josh (17) and Jeremiah (16)…
