Had 28 tackles last season and recorded a
season-high seven in the final game of the year against
Santa Ana College… Also had five stops against Long
Beach City College… Picked off a pass against Golden
West College and returned it 13 yards and also recovered
a fumble, while recording a tackle for loss against Mt.
San Antonio College… Was a red-shirt two seasons ago…
Competed the Falcon track team for two seasons and
advanced to the state championships in the decathlon as
a freshman… Played on both offense and defense in high
school… As a free safety, he had 19 tackles and an
interception as a senior, while also catching nine
passes for 263 yards and two scores… Named his team’s
Best All-Around Athlete as a senior, while picking up
their Most Improved Player Award as a junior… That year,
he caught six passes for 156 yards and two scores… In
addition to spending two years on the football team, he
was on the track team for four seasons and played two
years of basketball… In track, he was named his team’s
Most Valuable Player all four years and won the league
title in the hurdles as a junior and senior… Was the
basketball team’s Co-Most Valuable Player both years he
played and averaged 15 points one season and 12 the
next… Most memorable moment was when he had three
catches for 123 yards and one touchdown against San
Dimas High, while his interception against Villa Park
High is another memorable moment… Would like to transfer
to the University of Florida, the University of Georgia,
Cal-Berkeley, Stanford University, Louisiana State
University or the University of Alabama… Aspires to
study architectural engineering… Is the older brother of
teammate Lyndon… His cousin started for the Honduras
National Soccer Team… Is fluent in Spanish… Enjoys the
internet in his spare time… Nicknamed “El Morenito”… Is
the son of Al and Adelaida Rodriguez… Born in Sandy Bay,
Roatan, Honduras on August 21, 1985….. |
