Was a 2nd Team All-Mission
Conference National Division selection… Finished with 25
tackles on the season, which included a season-high six
stops to go along with two quarterback sacks and a
forced fumble against Orange Coast College… Led the
team with six sacks and had four tackles for loss… Spent
three years on the football team and two on both the
wresting and track teams in high school… Named
All-Sierra League as a senior on both offense and
defense… Posted 80 stops as a senior… Earned All-League
recognition as an offensive lineman as a junior and was
named his team’s Most Valuable Lineman…Was a 1st
Team All-League selection as a heavyweight on the
wrestling team as a senior and as a shot putter on the
track team… Threw a personal best 51’ in the shot put as
a senior… His brother Jake (20) played baseball at Texas
A&M University last year and will play at Cal State
Fullerton this season… His other brother, Arthur (29)
played football and baseball at Diamond Bar High, while
his father played football in high school and at Fresno
State University… Likes to lift weights in his spare
time… Is the son of Greg and Fran Vasquez… Born in San
Dimas, CA on March 18, 1987….. |
