Downey HS: Team went undefeated his junior season… Started his career as an offensive center, then moved to tight end and eventually to wide receiver… Caught one touchdown pass as a junior… Also spent two years on the wrestling and track and field teams… Was seeded second in the CIF wrestling championships at 171 pounds as a junior and went 28-19 on the year… Ran the hurdles, along with competing in the pole vault and triple jump on the track team…..
